Bismarck, ND
KKBO - 105.9 Bob FM
Connoisseur Media acquired a construction permit to build a station in the Bismarck market, and it signed on the station with Variety Hits as 105.9 Bob FM at noon on December 19, 2008. The station is licensed is licensed to Flasher, ND, but with 100,000 watts of power with a C1 license, it easily provides a city-grade signal to the entire Bismarck metro area.
According to Chuck Wood, the station's Operations Manager, the first song was "Let the Good Times Roll" by The Cars followed by "Friends In Low Places" by Garth Brooks. This station's sign-on was the fourth BOB-FM (as the brand is often written) station by Connoisseur Media, and it is being consulted by well-respected radio consultant Joel Folger (who consults Variety Hits station all over the United States).
