WWJK - 94.7 Jack FM
(Station changed formats on January 17, 2012)
The first small market Jack station in the United States (and fourth overall) popped up in Jackson, Mississippi. Backyard Broadcasting gave the Variety Hits format a shot, shifting from Classic Hits Arrow 94.7 (WTYX) to 94.7 Jack FM on September 2, 2004 and ran commercial free for the first two weeks. The station changed its call letters to WWJK on September 15, 2004.
On January 17, 2012, Backyard Broadcasting sold the station to Educational Media Foundation, which flipped the station to Contemporary Christian under its national K-Love umbrella.
