Texarkana, TX

KBYB - 101.7 Bob FM

Ark-La-Tex, LLC jumped into the Variety Hits game in the Fall of 2004. The 101.7 signal flipped from the dying Rhythmic Oldies format in May 2004 to Classic Hits, but that didn't last long. Six months later, on September 23, 2004, the station flipped to Variety Hits as 101.7 Bob FM and changed its called letters from KJMY to KBYB. At that point Texarkana was the smallest market (#302, give or take a few spots) to give Variety Hits a try, though there have since been unrated markets which have picked up the format.
