Subject: Update for Variety Hits website

Hi Lou-

If we're bringing satellite radio into the fold, you may as well add The Blend on XM radio (Channel 25) which is a Shuffle Format for them. It sort of trends an AC playlist, more like Jill-FM than some of the true Variety Hits stations....and why not add the decade channels which play everything from the particular decades (40s-90s)

Lou: I gave that channel consideration after your e-mail, and I even briefly listed in on the main page. But after looking at the artists listed, and looking at the lack of some core categories (particularly rock-based ones), I decided that it didn't belong. Moreover, steve.dbstalk.com/dbs/xmlineup.htm lists The Blend as "Adult Contemporary", which sealed it for me. Jill-FM, on its website, lists Coldplay and The Beatles, neither of which I imagine you'd hear on The Blend. So if you're looking for a distinction even there, that's where I'd draw it.

The decades channels I wouldn't add, just like I haven't added Cox Broadcasting's 80s stations, because it doesn't fit the format.

If there are other who think that The Blend belongs on here, I'd like to hear from you.
