KPRF - 98.7 Jack FM
The first and (to date) only Clear Channel station to air Jack FM, KPRF flipped from CHR as Power 98.7 to Variety Hits as 98.7 Jack FM on March 1, 2007. It was already known at the time of the flip that Clear Channel was going to sell the station.
On October 2, 2007, Clear Channel announced that it was selling KPRF to Gap Broadcasting as part of a larger sale of stations that the company owns in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. This is part of the sell-off that is taking place in preparation for Clear Channel to be taken private via a stock buyout.
