WWLB - Liberty 98.9
Main Line Broadcasting launched Liberty 98.9 (WCUL, licensed to Midlothian, VA) on September 6, 2005. Main Line Broadcasting is operating Liberty 98.9 under an LMA with MainQuad Broadcasting, which began on September 1, 2005, while waiting for the FCC to approve the sale of the stations from MainQuad to Main Line, according to a source close to the situation.
The station had been silent since April 2004, just a few months after its purchase by The MainQuad Group from Joyner Radio (the station had a country format before it went dark). Now that its move-in has been completed (giving it full metro coverage), it's back on the air with Variety Hits.
The station's call letters changed to WWLB on September 13, 2005.
