On August 1, 2006 at 9 AM CDT, classic rock Y95 (WYHY) flipped to Variety Hits as 95.3 Bob FM, picking up the satellite-fed Bob FM national feed. The Bob & Tom show, which previously aired on this frequency, moved to sister station WRXR. Joel Folger is the consultant for the station.
The station changed call letters from WYHY to WRTB on August 9, 2006.
