WKHI - 107.5 Joe FM
In a bizarre twist, Great Scott launched Variety Hits on its 107.5 WKHI signal on March 1, 2006 as 107.5 Joe FM. It was a strange situation in that one company had the same format on two stations that overlapped the same area.
107.5 has city-grade cross-over with 106.5 in places like Pocomoke City (WKHW's city of license), and there were reports on Joe FM being a bit daring with its format, such as working in the occasional country recurrent song.

WKHW - SAM 106.5
(Station changed formats on August 15, 2007)
When Westwood One's satellite-fed SAM (Simply About Music) format debuted on June 6, 2005, it had a quick station to jump on board in Great Scott Broadcasting's 106.5 WKHW, which is run via an LMA by Bay Broadcasting. Reborn as SAM 106.5 on June 7, 2005, the station ended its simulcast with fellow Class A station 97.9 WBEY-FM as Bay Country when it made the switch. WBEY-FM retained its incumbent country music format.
Sam 106.5 (WKHW) dropping the format on 8/15 to go classic rock, presumably as 106.5 WKHW (information on this is not easy to find.) The station was at a strong disadvantage against the more powerful signal and local programming of 107.5 Joe FM (with the similar but unrelated call letters WKHI.)
