99.7 WGNX made an unexpected call letter change on August 10, 2006, becoming WJKD. The change tipped off some people to an impending format flip from the station's 80s format, a flip that happened just four days later on August 14, 2006. The station dropped the all-80s format and picked up the ABC JACK-FM feed as 99.7 Jack FM.
