WEJK - 107.1 Jack FM
When JACK-FM became available as a satellite-fed format, South Central Broadcasting was quick to act on its availability. It put JACK-FM on in Knoxville on October 5, 2005, and followed that by putting JACK-FM on in Evansville on October 7, 2005, dropping the Contemporary Christian Music format (also satellite-fed from Salem) on 107.1 WYXY.
107.1 is a rimshot from the east, providing city-grade coverage to some (but not all) of the Evansville metro. From a technical standpoint, the station is owned by Booneville Broadcasting (not to be confused with Bonneville International), but South Central has an LMA on it and calls the shots on what programming goes on that signal.
The station switched its call letters to WEJK on November 11, 2005.
