WMIB - SHE 103.5
Clear Channel-owned 103.5 WMIB, which had aired a Spanish Hits format as Super X 103.5, abruptly changed to Variety Hits as SHE 103.5 at 5 a.m. on May 24, 2012. The first song played after the flip was "She's a Beauty" by The Tubes. It's expected that the station will soon change its call letters to either WSHE (currently parked on 1470 AM in Columbus, GA) or WSHE-FM.
Using the positioning statement "She Plays Everything", this move marks the second flip of a Florida station to Variety Hits in as many months by Clear Channel, which licensed the Jack FM branding for 107.3 FM in Jacksonville on April 18, 2012. In this case, Clear Channel opted to go with its own branding approach in Miami, which was a somewhat curious move since the old WSHE on 103.5 in Miami (from the early 1970s through 1996) was a rock station.
