WFKL - Fickle 93.3

Entercom Broadcasting Oldies outlet 93 BBF (WBBF) switched to Variety Hits as Fickle 93.3 on April 9, 2005. The station's call letters changed to WFKL (standing for Fickle) on April 11, 2005. It's first song as Fickle 93.3 was "Right Back Where We Started From" by Maxine Nightengale.

In April 2008, Entercom announced that it has put Fickle 93.3 and two other FM stations it owned into a trust run by David Pearlman in order to comply with FCC-mandated market ownership limits that Entercom exceeded when it purchased the CBS Radio stations in Rochester in August 2006.

On April 28, 2008, control of the station went to Stephens Media Group via an agreement with Entercom. In May 2008, FCC documents revealed that Stephens purchased Fickle 93.3, along with Warm 101.3 (WRMM-FM) and 94.1 the Zone (WZNE), for $13.25 million.
