Santa Rosa, California
KNOB - 96.7 Bob FM
Sinclair Communications was operating Oldies 96.7 (KTOL) with an LMA (Local Marketing Agreement) with JYH Broadcasting in 2004 when it decided that it wanted to bring its Bob FM format, which had been successful in Norfolk, VA, to the Santa Rosa market. Sinclair examined the market and decided that KTOL was the best choice to flip.
On June 22, 2004, the station became 96.7 Bob FM, with new call letters KNOB. The station used the KNOB calls in word play with the Bob name, with liners like "Change the knob to Bob", etc.
