WZXI - SAM 95.5

Vox Communications' former FM Talk outlet, WZXI/Staunton, VA, returned from a month of silence with Variety Hits on October 7, 2005 as SAM 95.5. The station retained the syndicated Bob & Sheri morning show, which it had in its previous FM Talk incarnation.
On August 16, 2006, the station dropped SAM to begin simulcast Oldies 106.3 WBOP, which Vox ran as an LMA from Force 5 Communication. The simulcast was branded Oldies 95.5, and the simulcast ran until August 31, 2006, at which point the Oldies format completed its migration to 95.5 FM.
