Wausau/Stevens Point, Wisconsin
WOFM/WIZD - 94.7/99.9 The Valley
Undaunted by the presence of Jack FM in the market, Midwest Broadcast continued the dismantling of its "Wild" monikered stations by flipping Rhythmic CHR Wild 94.7 to Variety Hits as 94.7 The Peak on March 8, 2006.
Jack has a signal that blankets Stevens Point and provides a city-grade signal reaching up to Wausau. The Peak's signal eminates from just west of Wausau, which allows it to reach areas like Medford and Merrill that fall outside of Jack FM's city-grade radius.
To reach the Stevens Point market, the station added a simulcast on 99.9 WIZD and relaunched as 94.7/99.9 The Valley on September 25, 2006.
WSPT-FM - 97.9 Jack FM
(Station changed formats on February 29, 2008)
Muzzy Broadcasting's 97.9 WSPT (technically WSPT-FM, but one of those rare FM music stations left that actually identified itself on-air with its call letters) flipped from Hot AC to Variety Hits at midnight on December 5, 2005 as 97.9 Jack FM.
With two Variety Hits stations in the market, this station's management made the decision to flip to oldies, going with the satellite fed "True Oldies Channel" and rebranding as True Oldies 97.9 on February 29, 2008.
